There is only one NP road to Eurimbula, Middle Creek and through to Turkey Beach. There is NO sign for the turn-off that takes you to Turkey Beach, but it is a few k's before you hit Middle Creek. I'll see what sort of map I can dig up, but there is a hard copy available from the Council, Called Miriam Vale Shire council road map and it has the ' tracks ' on it. $7 from the Transaction Centre in Agnes or from Miriam Vale SC.

    Stay tuned.

Attached is a mp . The circle represents the road through the National park. Eurimbula Rd ( Eurimbula National park ).

The legend will get you a distance out of town.

The track through the park is OK and a 2wd can get to Eurimbula Creek. You will find a turn off that is clearly marked Middle Creek <- Eurimbula Creek ->.

Take the Middle Creek turn and along that track some distance you will see a turnoff to the left, this is NOT signed. But it is a clearly identified road and this is the way to Turkey Beach, or at least the " Crossing " for access to the middle of middle creek and pancake creek.

This is a 4 X 4 track only and is very boggey after rain. You can tow a boat through here, under care. I would allow at least an hour ( could be as much as 2 ) to get from the intersection of Eurimbula / Round Hill road to the 'crossing ' boat ramp / slide.

This is only a concern for the tinnie brigade that want to do the Middle to Pancake voyage.

Worthington is apparently tidal and at times is impassable due to the high water. Which is a bummer as we need a high tide to launch the tinnies at the ' crossing ".

There is an option of launching at Middle Creek camp ground and doing a long run OR we can trek up the NP road and still get to the crossing. This inland route is a 4 x 4 road only, sorry, but I believe that all that have a tinnie for the trip also use a 4By as a tow vehicle.

Anyway, just thought I would enlighten you all.

    cheers Phill
I can tow 3 or 4 tinnies behind "Carnelpya"
She is licensed to take 14 passengers.
Its about an hour or so round the front. Once I get in the creek, drop the tinnies and I can guide ya to the campgrounds. There are 2 main ones. One out near the point and one inside the creek. (Theres a few deep in as well)

Slight correction there Phil. This would be a "Caravan" not a convoy as a convoy would be multiples under their own steam all heading in the same direction. As the mini vessels would be towed by the bigger vessel, technically it is a "caravan" as in a camel "caravan" as in the Sahara desert.
But call it what ya want mate.

    Re: Agnes / 1770 M & G 2008.

    Thanks for the correction....

But, I will just say that, should the weather be conducive to traveling in ' camel ' to Pancake behind Carnelpya, then it will also be good for offshore fishing, thus rendering the trek by sea or other means to Pancake , superfluous !

The Middle to Pancake is a tinnie trip for when the weather stops us plundering the pelagic predators and the reef bound red fish.

Should the weather allow us, we will go forth on our piscatorial pursuits.

oooh I have a headache now, to many big words

    To quote Lucky Phill:

    Strewth Phill, that's a mouthful.

You could run a competition one night to see who could get that out with no stuttering.

My money would be on PTD.

    COME ON SAY SOMETHING!

This is getting very boring, you lot must have something you can say or report on.

A question I would like answered.

Can you get REDS up there any time of the year, obviously other than when the Reef is closed.

    Cheers
