    Re: Agnes / 1770 M & G 2008.

Wehehehehell, I have arrived home safe and whole after doing a whirlwind trip to Agnes to take in the cook-off. I drove up on Friday at lunchtime, and headed back today (Sunday) morning, 6:30 am. About 6.5 hours each way, but that's nothing after hearing about Blaze's 25 hour Maraton from Tassie!

God knows how I am safe and whole after spending that much time with the debauched crowd called "Team Wave". What a blast. I can honestly say that was the most fun I've had with a bunch of blokes for 20+ years.

Crap weather, so no fishing, but an eventful trip nonetheless. I learn't new ways to use some of my favourite words from Chong - the words will not be typed on such a place as this - the food was excellent, and the company nothing short of, well, twisted...

I missed Wags - he's ailing a bit with back and neck trouble, and Blackrat and Aigusto did me serious sinus damage with an endless tirade of farts... Blackrat, I'm sure you know this, but I feel it my duty to inform you anyway - you cannot sing - from either end!!!

I've chucked on a few pics to give you an idea of the gauntlet I ran.
Cheech and the Deckie in headgear,
Rob Tranter was about to kill someone, I forget who,
The Deckie felt the toilet was too far,
Cheech and Chong are in love,
The Chefs - Mike (Aigusto) won,
Cheech watching Chong at the BBQ (Cheech is the butch one in the relationship),
    Rumbos being poured,
    Friday night, time unknown...

I cannot say how good it was to bung faces to names. I can't wait until next year, I'll bring the boat, and stay the whole time. 363 sleeps.

    Cheers,

    Tim

Well if my eyes don't deceive me ... that is the house we rented for the first Agnes M&G about 5 years ago.

There was many many many alcoholic beverages drunk and some big seafood bashes cooked up on that verandah.

Craigie, Brooksy, Chrisco - what do you think - the Deckie or Phil will remember?

Actually I'm amazed at the amount of rum the man put away during my short stint there. Truly epic. Chong, you are a legend. I want to have your children.

I'm looking forward to detailed reports from the fellas about the fishing up there though.

I saw my Cruiser today, and she looks nice. I will be up there next year, we will assemble a team of top line fishos (I'll just drive ), we will use the mighty Bubi and her weapons, and break those PBA necks for good!

Got back home around 5pm this afternoon after a wild week

PBA took out the trophy this year with the Ausfish boys and girls fishing hard wide for little red colour. Always next year

Only 4 bottles of joy out of 29 withstood the raids from Chong, myself & Rumfests on the deck of Wave

Full report and a few piccies to follow tommorow

    Damo

PS: There may be some video footage, I just need to review/bleep/edit some of it

Have some pics to post, fishing was slow on day 1 offshore with only 1 keeper which went straight on the BBQ after we got in. The previous day was spent at Middle Creek with Cheech landing a keeper flattie.
Cheech, Chong and Roz headed wide to Lady Musgrave for a few keepers. Chong cleaned up on biggest Tuskie for the week (go Team Wave !). Tangles cleaned him and I up on a sandbank in Round Hill creek I managed to land a legal flattie in Round Hill Creek and almost had a Barra jump into the boat
Good times were had with probably to much drinking due to the weather but there's always next year to get back the Red trophy. Thanks to Roz and Co for there hospitality and to the bunch of loonies I know as "Team Wave"

How long to go now ?
