    stainless prop for suzi 30

after reversing up my driveway into the sun, i did not see that my mother had parked in the driveway and i gave her rear bumper a love tap with my prop. it has only just bent one of the blades, and although it still moves along alright, i was contemplating upgrading to a stainless model anyway. are they available off the shelf for this motor? and is it worth changing the size/pitch of the prop??

    any feed back is appreciated

As far as changing pitch goes, it depends on how the motor was performing with the one thats on it, what revs it was getting to when held flat etc. If you are happy with current performance, leave it the same. You may get a couple more RPM with the stainless prop due to less water resistance. SOLAS should be able to help you with a new prop

    Hi Mate,

As stated Solas would be the people to talk to regarding a stainless Prop. I recently looked replacing my alloy prop on my '07 25 Yamaha 4 stroke with a stainless one and was quoted $420. I asked for opinions from others on this site, as to whether it would be more beneficial, and the majority said it wouldn't be really.

So I bought a spare genuine Yamaha one for only $115.00, I'm thinking yours would be worth about the same.

    Hope this helps
    Scott
