    Noticed while checking out the Yanmar website that they have have a page where they list stolen engines.

    This page lists Yanmar engines that have been reported stolen by dealers/owners.

    Might be helpful if other outboard brands did the same thing.

    One less chance of buying a stolen outboard,and may stop /slow the theft of motors.

    Would there be general support for such Brand registry's?

    Well i lost over 14k of fishing gear a few years back...So Yes...I think it would be a good idea for all brands to follow suit....

    very good idea. nothing worse than hearing that some low life has stolen something not theirs. even worse when its taking from a boat.
