You haven't been able to get past the rocks at rainbow for a while now.
I am sure with all the high seas travel on the beach would be very dodgy at any time except may be dead low tide.

Check out the conditions report on the QLD Environmental Protection Agency website (www.epa.qld.gov.au).

The report now states that Hook Point is impassable and that the inland road must be used.

Also that the eatern beaches are only passable 1.5hrs either side of low tide suggesting lots of erosion and the possible need to break the trip up the beach into two runs.....

Teewah Beach is pretty good but the sea is coming up again with the south easter meaning travel 3 hours either side of low only without getting wet. Couple of small patches of rock between 3rd cut and Teewah which don't really impede travel at all as can get around the back of them. Rainbow is no go but told this morning that can still get around to the headland from Leisha Track.

I waited most of 2007 for the Christmas holidays at Rainbow, so perhaps you know how I feel ?
Anyway, the rocks at Rainbow aren't the only problem at the moment, heaps of erosion of the headland just down from the caravan park, I know coz I sat there in my raincoat and watched the trees falling into the sea!
Drove the track down to Freshwater, but it was poor, and more rainy squalls came in quickly so we bailed within the hour.
I wasted about $50 worth of bait that I took up too.

My son had heaps of fun playing in the rain in the caravan park though

I would give it a miss for a while personally

If men are from Mars, and women are from Venus, politicians must be from uranus ?
