Lures
I have been on a few charters from the tweed and when they are on the way out they troll a few lures and always catch some mach tuna's and I forgot to ask what lures they use .
As I have a new boat of my own now I want to tow a few lures out while I heading out to some reefs could someone help out.
Thanks

G'day
More than likely a few varieties of skirts are used. You can get cone, hex, metal, resin, jet heads in all varying styles sizes and colors.
Someone here will point you in the right direction regards a few specific ones,
Google up the pakula website, I'm led to believe it's full of good info

Try any Halco laser pro (crazy deep) in any colour mate, i've caught everything from coral trout to Marlin on them!

Hi Justafish,
I agree with what blackened said. Skirted lures are best for high speed trolling between fishing grounds. Many of the hard bodied minnow lures have a tendancy to blow out of the water when trolled quickly, using light line is also out of the question - big hard bodies create big drag!!
Mack Tuna - I wouldnt go out of my way chasing those pests
