Question Are plastics 100 percent biodegradable???

After using plastics, I've left a couple soaking in water for a couple of weeks & noticed that they hold their size, but don't break down, as some manufacturers indicate on their packaging. I've also left some in open air for a couple of months & noticed that all they do is shrink & you're still left with a plastic blob that won't even break down in natural sunlight. Are the claims by some manufacturers true that "It’s 100 percent biodegradable for a cleaner environment"??????

    WTFH

    Gulps most definitely are biodegradable.
Without actually knowing ...... I don't think a typical SP would last too long in shallow water ...... They are unstabilised against oxidation & UV degradation.

    Nagg

PS .... I'd be more concerned about all the lead that is connected to those SPs
