    Hinze dam today

    Hi All,
I was down there today and the rising level has made it a good edge bit. I got 45 bass and the father inlaw got 20 bass in around 4 hours. All were caught on jackalls and spinnerbaits. The think was to see the reaction of people to my mates new electric. Its a electric OUTBOARD, Basicly its looks like a outboard but instead of it running on petrol it has a electric motor on a 48v system. The motor is rated at 200lb thrust and goes like a rocket(this is the confusion). He got some agressive response to it on the dam and the ramp at the end of the day. So if you see this on the water go and say hello before going of the deep end because you will only look like a fool in the end.
    Cheers

Yes I admit I was one of the fools. I was that embarassed that I even forgot to apollogise . It is very deceptive and really flies almost gets on the plane. I forgot to take a photo maybe your mate could post a small article on it as it is a truely awesome machine.

    Jesper,
    Thats some nice fishing!
We were down there on Friday afternoon and they were going off. 25+ Bass each, mostly on spinnerbaits and a couple of surface. Got a fish first cast, a couple of double hookups and a few '3 fish in 3 casts'. Only down there for a couple of hours before the weather turned and the rain set in.

Got a nice one on surface opposite the boatramp. Zara Puppies rule!

There are a few of those big electrics getting around. Pretty wild bits of gear!I can see how they could be confused for a petrol motor though- they really push the boat along.

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Hi All,
If you do the electric comps you will see this machine in time. As for the cost you don't want to now. You will have to ask the owner if you can catch him.

Hi Jesper, Thats the sort of session we were having throught winter. Great to see you had a good one. Would you be interested in a friendly wager I'm having with Steve99 this weekend, Steve99 Jackalls V Mitch 3D VIBs? If you beat me it will cost me a six pac of Crownys of Half a carton as i will have to give Steve a six pac as well.
You'll need to fish the same end as us.

    Re: Hinze dam today

Was back there today. I and suppose others really appreciated the conciderate gentlemen who parked their cars opposite the junction of the concrete and dirt ramp making it impossible to turn your car around so you could use the dirt ramp.
The alternative was to reverse your car back up the hill turn around and reverse back down again.
Notice someone had placed notes on there windscreens when we came back in.
PS beware lots of logs floating around about 2 feet depth. We hit 2 today.
