five out a seven aint bad on the light gear mate,top stuff! i was only just going on about fishing for jacks in the rainy weather in fish-on`s post .must have inspired you guy`s to get out and have a go.hope i did anyway. i would have been out there myself if i didn`t get called back to work.

sorry plaztix it is 8lb leader my mistake. If you enlarge the photo of my brother you can see that the leader is this size.

Gotta be happy with that all the same.

Boating a 44cm jack on 2lb main line is a top effort.

Nice pics......Thats a great result on light string in this weather. Youve encouraged me to get out there too. Thanks for sharing the report.

Do you just use a loose hook on the frog, or did it come out during the fight? Have you thought about a worm hook? They are often used with unweighted plastics.

Some top fish there mate nothin better than takin fish on surface lures especially jack. I release all my jack as well there just to valuable to keep
