wholesale boat engine prices
To all,
is there anywhere like redbook for outboard wholesale prices, been offered ridiculous trade in price for my yammie 130 that is 12 months old, still has another 12 months warranty from a brissy dealer.

I dont like to be the bearer of bad news,honda,but take a look at revs57's low hours merc 2 stroke in the for sale section.
Over 8 months and over 6000 views and he's down below half new price and still cant sell it.
You cant really blame a dealer for offering a really low trade in price given the limited market for used 2 strokes .They cant afford to be stuck with it on the floor.
BTW what is the dealer offering as compared to new price.?

yep, Ive enquired about 2st trades and its pretty bad. they say they dont shift unless priced right. i guess with fuel everyones after a 4 or di.
mind you i looked at trading a 150 opti 4yrs old and they were saying 7k for that.

Got a price from another dealer, which was much more reasonable, will still lose 2500, on engine that has been great. looks like I might be getting the zuke 140 after all.

new price of a yamaha 130 is $12000 so he would have got 9500, Which is not bad.
