    Bullie ??

    G day all..

I'm wanting to get amongst the fun and have a go at catching bull sharks. I'd probably be fishing the brissie river or the pine river. Have never targeted sharks before so just chasing any info on baits, tackle and where is the best places to find them.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers Thorbsy

I havent done too much shark fishin mate but you want a good length of wire with a 10/0 live bait hook and good black swivel lead depends on where your fishin and some medium braid main line i would use min 25lb. For bait we used to use mullet fillets up north for salmon and caught shit loads of sharks any way thats about all i can help with Good luck

If your fishing the pine Ive found live mullet the choice of bait, as stated a wire trace is a must ,if in a boat have a float tied to your anchor rope so you can throw it all out and give chase, theres the odd large 1 in there, night time is better and start off near where the water skiers are suspossed stay. Good Luck

I have caught a couple in the Pine on the north side of the channel at the mouth just before the bridge. Floating (no lead) a pilly on gang hooks with 30lb main line and a 18" wire trace.
