Sorry about the late report, but better late than never-
Fished Borumba in the drizzly rain last Friday and Saturday for some pretty good action. Not a huge amount of fish caught but all the bass were over 40cm. 23 Bass caught between 2 of us, mostly up in the timber in the Yabba Arm and a couple of toga as well for good measure.
Had the first real action on the surface this season which resulted in many of the bass and the 2 'toga. Had plenty of strikes and lost 2 zara puppies by being blown on the strike. All the other bass came on spinnerbaits in the timber, or black mask vib's on the flat at the mouth of Borumba Ck. Check out the pic of the bass with the popper waay down his throat. All the fish released to catch another day.
some nice fish, that bass was a hungry bugger.ive gotta get up there soon and get myself one of those togas( beautiful fish). thanks for showing. cheers bdowdy..brett
Great fishing mate. Fished there yesterday thurs 3rd, not as windy as i thought it might be, still hard fishing with the rain and gusty winds. Caught bass all over 40cm, though no.s were down. funny thing happened though, mate put his lure up in a tree so went over to de snag it, as soon as lure was pulled free and landed on the water not 2m from the boat , a nice toga hammered it. As the line was wrapped around the tip it pulled the hooks before breaking the line or rod. Was worth the 2 hr drive from brisssy just to see that.
