Re: pellet flies
a cut up brown thong, seen it used with good results up there. Should be able to fly cast it. It was as simple as a hook super glued on a piece of shaped ( roughly ) brown thong

Re: pellet flies
One can be made by spinning natural or brown coloured deer hair on the fly hook and cut to the desired shape of the pellets.
Keep smiling, It makes people wonder what you're up to.

Re: pellet flies
i have tryed a few pellet flys at the barra park and the best iv found is some iv made out of balsar wood dowl, i got the dowl from toy world. just cut them to shape and give them a file to smooth the edges, i like to make them just a little bigger than the real pellet as it cast a better silowet in the water and the barra seem hone in on it better but make some the same size as well for when they are being funny. once i got the shape i get a lighter and char the out side of the pellet lightly just untill it turns brown ,(i had nothing to paint them with when i made then) then rub the black bits off hehe, it will help getting a even colour. then get some super glue and ya hook and glue it on the bottom of ya pellet and ya done. these seem to work well 4 the 80-90cm buggers in there in the big boys pond
