How busy are boat ramps in Xmas Holidays ?

Being a new boatie, I'm unfamiliar with busy periods etc on the water. Can you tell me how busy the boat ramps get in the Xmas Holidays ? More interested in Bobbin Head ramp in Sydney and the Ramps in Forster/Tuncurry... And would the weekdays still be the better option rather than the weekends in this period ?

is this a trick question?? what is NOT busy at Christmas? and ramps are no different, expect to wait, be yelled at (or be the person yelling), be ready to fend off people who are just finding out that a Boat does not have brakes, be prepared to also fend off people who suddenly find out that a Boat does not steer like a car, or stay where you put it without rope!

Doesn't sound like a hell of a lot of fun. Are you referring to a particular area and would you say that a weekday in the holidays is more quiet than a weekend in the holidays. Being new to the game, I'm trying to avoid the peak times.

Wait till the hols are over mate or do as I do.................go out at 3 in the morning back at 8 or 9 am.

wont be any worries at the boat ramps in next week as the weather is shite up here onthe sunnycoast or should i say rainycoast

Ramp are quite and will stay that way on the Gold Coast due to the bad weather that they say is going to get worse.
