Yeah holiday season not the best time,Time for some good fishing movies and the like.
With that Cyclone developing off Mackay, they are talking of evacuating Fraser Island, as they are predicting 6 metre swells. Heavy.

Yeah, didn't it blow it's &$$ off (though northerly) last Xmas break as well?
Yes the weather is crap at the moment and it got to much for me yesterday so i chucked the boat on and drove down to chinderah to launch the boat.
When I got there it wasn't to bad just the odd jet ski buzzing around, I put the boat in and went straight across form the boat ramp drifting the flats.
I was throwing around a small rebel crawdad around the weed beds and the bream were all over it, I lost count on how many fish I caught I even caught a couple of whiting and trevally, so the day wasn't all bad there are still some fish about to be caught.
Go surfing!
6 m swells off fraser?
they have already evacuated everyone off fraser now its gonna get up around 45 knts apparently. typical on my only days off . always the way isnt it.

It’s not good that is for sure...
Went down the creek to put a line or two in and it was full of crab pots and jelly fish every where as well..
Gave up and went home the sheltered creeks are getting a hammering atm
every man and his dog are there.
Good luck to those that do get the odd fish in the creeks
I hear you JJT this is my only week off before I move to Darwin and I wanted to spend it fishing with the old man oh well them's the breaks. Hey look on the brightside at least if you did sneak out there be plenty of spots to park at the ramp.
