Robers it handles the rough stuff well for a open tinnie it doesn't bang like a traditional style tinnie because its 3mm and has underfloor fuel and full length floor with floatation the spray chines are substantial 45mm and deflect the water back down where you want it ,it handles any sesible conditions that you are more than likely to encounter just remember it is still aan open boat so you have to drive to the conditions .I have bought it home when caught at tangas in 25knt morton bay slop and easily come home of the goldie in similar conditions i would not hesitate buying a fin again as it has been more comfortable and more seaworthy than any of the other 4 tinnies i have had and even when i upgrade i will be hard pressed to get rid of it and a big plus is my misses loves it . Iam sure there are others as good but there are a heap that arent these fins are large for a 4.5 tinnie a 50 would be plenty i only got a 60 because it was part of the deal ,there is a bloke on here called dan 5 give him a p.m he has had his for about 6 months now he has vast experience in useing this size of boat his opinion would be worth knowing last i heard he was wrapped in it go down to mr ts at capalaba and have a look . The money you want to spend would get you an almost new one of these easily if you can find one but they do pop up but go quickly usually .this is just my opinion look hard and dont buy the first thing that comes up and most of all try and get a test ride .If you want to talk more or have a look send me a P.M and i will call you to arrange a look or a run if we ever get some decent weather again ...matt

Hey Robersl the bluefins are a top little boat with good stability and reasonable freeboard for a smaller open boat.Mine is finished off very good, nice neat weld's etc.I'd rather the fuel tank be up forward and the seat spigots be under floor socket type one's instead of the screw in base plate type. All in all they are a well made and good value for money.Fully ribbed and 3mm side's make's them a tough little hull,i've used most of the other major brand's in the same range and it would definatly be the the pick of the bunch with my expriance's.I've got a 60 4strk on mine and it gets along really good you'd get away with a 50 but the 60 is a perfect match i reckon.Cheers Dan........

Reckon bluefin59's advice is bang on, there are some tinnies in that 4.5 metre range that are big for that size. When i was looking, for me the pick of the bunch in a reasonable price range where the bluefin and the seajay, both big and roomy, have good freeboard, 3mm bottoms and are good value for the price without being over the top.
