    Buying Rods Overseas

    Hi guys,

just looking at the cabelas website and was wondering if anyone has bought any Loomis rods from them. Is it safe to do so, as in are they shipped securley as to minimise the risks of any breakages.

Was looking at a GL3 and and GLX rod and was wondering what people think abouy buying from overseas. Also if i buy the loomis rods over there is the warranty still covered in Australia?

    thanks

Ismail .... be careful with Cabelas! ..... From memory the freight costs that they charge are huge!( a percentage of the sale price ... 25%ish)
While I've never bought a full length rod from OS ( I have imported a fly rod) ... There are many outlets that sell a lot & export overseas!
A mate has bought successfully loomis rods of a couple of Ebay US sites with great success ( & big big savings - 40-50%) ..... worth looking at regardless of what the warranty situation is! .. Nagg
gloomisus ..... is one seller on Ebay (I'm pretty sure its actually G loomis direct)
