A little rod for the cook with lots of little fishies wrapped in

The cook and I are going fishing next week so I built a little rod for her.
    It has sparkles and all

I added blue and silver sparkles to the resin to give the effect of bubbles.
Worked well for a nancy girl rod.
I even gave it a blue grip to match up with the wrap.

The pearl I used around the eyes come through the light grey as well. Added that scale effect to the overall product. You can just see that in the pictures

Gees I'm looking forward to next week

And yes, I'm a top bloke to do that for her.
I have to do little things for her otherwise I might go hungry

finga, that looks really nice, love the blue grips. Did you shape them yourself or buy ready shaped, looks like the principle of thirds..

    Ta mate,
    Shaped it myself matey.
    Principle of thirds??
Hopefully some fish will be pulled in over the side with it next week.

And it'll be easy to spot if some low life pinches it.
Next rod for her is one for outside.
She wants a green and yellow frangipenny (sorry about spelling) wrap done with a purple reel seat and holo/holo guides.
And she wants the blank painted purple/green colour shift.

    Pretty fussy my cook

once had explained to me the principle of thirds as when shaping grips to divide grip in to thirds & start shaping from those points, your grips look to be on the money, try doing some at different starting points & they will look odd whereas the thirds tend to look heaps better. Mainly for cigar shaped grips, but has worked nicely on your rear grip.. works for photos as well, do an imaginary noughts & crosses pattern & put main subject on one of the intersections, looks more appealing than sticking it in the middle..

Seems as though you have gone the extra yards for the cooks rod.
Looks like Mr Finga might be wanting something special from the cook...
Have a safe and Merry Xmas mate.
    Catch up soon

Very good job there Scott, as per usual.

Sounds like you've started something now with the cook being able to specify her rods to order. Just so long as she doesn't start changing her mind part way through the project.
