Been away for a while got a mag with a dvd of rapala xr8 x-rap extreme action slashbait.
Has anybody used this lure,how good were they and what is the cost of them
Thought they might be good on jews in wagonga N.S.W.

Hey MJF,
As with most of the rapalas, these are a good lure. I havn't used that size but have done Ok with the 140mm version one on snapper while trolling for early season pelagics in my Kayak. I paid $24 for the bigger version. I reckon they would be great for JEW - albeit a bit expensive if your are around the rocks. The action is fantasic and the finish on them is very good. mate, that dvd i think was the okuma dvd.
if it was, it was one of the best i have seen.
it was a freebie on a fish mag last month.
they really nailed those rapalas.

I have a couple of rapala xr8 x-rap extreme action slashbaits, cost around $17.
I have been nailing some nice Flathead on them, & got to agree with FP, The action is fantasic and the finish on them is very good.
