Where is the Trench?

Following the reports posted here I see a few references to "The Trench".

Where is it? I gather it's outside of Hutchies someways, is that correct?

The trench refers to the 40m line Nth of Morton Is, you can cross the banks to access the western side but I would suggest you cross the bay to combie point then when clear of the banks head NNE, it's a sand drop off from 20m to 40m about 4nm up.

You can follow the 40m contour West Nth West then it swings Nth toward Caloundra or turn east and follow it up to the west of Hutchies and continue on Nth to Caloundra wide or back west to the old 10/10 ground, it's a big paddock to search, you have to cover the area looking for bait and billfish that tend to move as the season progresses.
