That's amazing! Great catch in a cast net! Not sure if it counts either but I wouldn't know But a Jack is a Jack and I'd be happy with that!

    Cheers,
    Dorado
...in case of emergency, take me fishing

Yep it counts. cast netting is just another form of fishing. Plus you saw the bigger fish on the sounder so it was not blind luck.

i have caught a nice jack in the net and they guys i was with said to keep it,no way i said,no sport in that,so i let him go,but still a nice effort to sound it out,but my opinion doesnt count, you didnt do anything illegal and you had evry right to keep him but great to see you let him go,top stuff
If i could get paid the same to fish, sorry boss but i ......!

Its your call whether it counts or not. Are you comfortable claiming bragging rights?

The barra caught at Bribie was caught in a castnet, and it got counted by all reporters as a legitimate catch.

    You decide.
