    Hinze 14/12

Had a good session on bait at the Hinze this morning. 3 of us launched at 6am and had bagged out by 6.20. Estimated caught around 40 to 50 bass. 4 unders, majority around 34 to 35cm with 5 over 40 biggest being 42.
    2 Tandanus.
Would only touch the shrimp we were bouncing g vibes in front ot their noses on the sounder and they were not interested but when you dropped a shrimp down you could see the fish rise to it.
Ran out of bait around 8 and trolled some lures but nothing else.
The dam has had an inflow and the ramp is much easer to use.

    Hi Rayken,
Has the water risen to the grass or has the grass grown down to the water?
Great session mate, I noticed a while ago they would only eat livies. I have a technique to catch them when there like that but getting in and out from the launching area when people park accross it, put it into the too hard barsket.

We launched at water intake tower on eastern arm Accessed via Little Nerang Road and Range Road. The grass was mown on the upper level flat ground to allow more parking.
We caught all our fish directly opposite the ramp.
Dont think that water would have risen enough for western arm to be usable yet. May pay to give the rangers office a ring and ask them what percentage it would have to rise to make it useable.
Hoping to go back on Wednesday for another go.
    Cheers

Good luck, I might load up a few extra batteries this weekend and head toward the wall.

and then all will be closed.

Went back there again this morning. % am start. Saw a bit of sirface action mear intake tower pontoon so threw a stick bait for around 10 minutes and no reaction so over to other side and bait fished till around 6ish when we ran out of bait.
Caught 24 bass and one tandanus from 27 shrimp. We even caught a couple on regurgitated shrimp. 6 of the bass were unders most around 33 to 35.
Managed one bass on a jackall.
Then went upstream trolling for a couple of hours and managed about another 10 bass and a 34cm yella.
Another top day the water was glassed out till around 9 and then only a slight breeze.
Saw another 3 boats on water and they all seemed to getting fish also.
    Cheers
