A couple from the mid north coast of NSW. Mine went 84cm, and the old mans went 83cm.
Nice flatties, I wish I had pics of mine. Back in about 2002 xmas holidays got a 98cm on a live whiting, no camera, no livewell or bucket big enough to keep it in so she went back, funny thing is we went back out several more times that week and we had a camera, my mate caught a 97cm in the same spot so we get the camera out and low and behold flat battery. anyhow just thought id share
me and a ramdom, very nice random leant me his bait gig, picked up about 10 good sizes once up townsville of all places, a few over the 80cm mark. if i scrounge around the potos i might find a pic of an olden day monster
beer man still not home?
Here she is & aint she a bewty!
From the way she was acting, I'd say she's only got half a brain.......
Yeah heath. thats a swamp donkey mate. not bad length, but a terrible bloody noggin.
Hi greetings from S A we love our flathead down here too ,here's a 73cm one and a good afternoons fishing, and they tasted real good
80cm. Caught on 6lb braid using a berkley 3" watermelon grub.
Hey Guys
Here is a picture of my new PB @91cm even better was that it came in the Flatty Classic & got me the biggest fish for the comp.
Even better again is that previously i was in a deadlock with my brother at 86cm for the family record so this now gives me a little daylight for a while.
Cheers Dave.
When all else fails "stick it" on the bottom!
Great Flatty Dave well done
Cheers Baz
cracker fish dave..this is the first year ive missed the classic...looks windy
Thanks bdowdy
Yes it was 20-25knots sse on the first day & eased off a little each day. Once again it was a great comp they had record numbers this year & as always did a great job in organising it all.
Shame you missed it im already looking forward to next years might see you there.
Dave.

I don't think my 60cm flatties are really worth showing, I'm still waiting for my monster!
Conservation NOT preservation!
