Monduran Barra and Bass Rig
I will apologise for my ignorance up front but I an new to this fresh water fishing, (and hooked). Only been once so far but intend returing to Monduran asap.
Now, where am I going wrong.
Barra
I was trolling with a 50 Lb Braid tied to a 60 Lb mono leader with a Slim Beauty knot and has about 10 foot of leader. (The guy at the Local BCF advised that I needed a long leader to enable me to get some leader on the reel before the fish got spooked close to the boat).
I then tied the lure with a Rapalla Loop.
Bass
I was flicking with 4 kg mono line, a swivell, a 3 foot 4Kg mono leader and a spinner bait.
Results
Nearly got a Braham Bull on the bank
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Monduran Barra and Bass Rig
hey mayney
the top setup is fine the wind on leader is a personel preferance i leave mine so it just dosent go through the level wind on the reel. on your bass setup you dont need a swivel
just run your main line straight onto the lure 4kg is heaps for bass look out if you get a barra on it but
