Thread: Can anyone figure this out

Re: Can anyone figure this out

Troy, its not appropriate for me to provide you legal advice over a forum, however, it seems you have received a substantial cash deposit from an unknown buyer on uncertain terms. Your best course of action is to try to contact this buyer and sort it out.

If you don't have contact details. Contact the bank. If you frame it to them along the lines that you have received an unidentified payment into your account, however, you think it is a deposit for your boat from a person you don't have contact details for, they may be able to help. They won't give you the contact details (breach of privacy), however, will be able to contact the account holder themselves to verify that the payment is authorised and suggest to them that they should contact you.

It could be possible that something has happened to your buyer which is why they haven't been in contact, eg. hit by a bus, family tradegdy, etc. These things do happen...

Thats appears to be sound advice troy, it's path i would take.
Seems odd that you have heard nothing more from the buyer. Possibly something has happened that has caused them not to get back to you.

    Hi Dave,
The only i can think of is not getting finance but it still does not explain the lack of conact.
Xmas is only 2 weeks away and even if they were to contact me i am going away and flights have been booked for months so i would still have a drama.
Merry Xmas to you and family.
    Troy
