G'day Barra King I have Blue Claw Crayfish in a tank with my Sooty Grunter.. Biggest is about 15cm from the tail to the end of his nippers.. Like the Sooty he doesn't mind being hand fed.. Cheers PBass
Cool Can You Show Me Some Pictures
Ok mate I don't have any pictures of the Cray at the moment, but i'll get out the digital camera and take some for you.. We also have another 4ft tank with a 45cm Mangrove Jack and a 7ft tank with the 2 Peacock Bass you can see in my avatar.. Though neither of those tanks have Crayfish living in them as they get eaten straight away.. Were you talking about freshwater Crayfish or Saltwater as all our tanks are fresh?? Cheers PBass
hey pbass were did you get your peacock bass, there awesome fish and have afew 5ft tanks myself ,wouldnt mind one or two of those but. cheers bdowdy..brett
i have a red claw in with a few gold fish approx 200mm from tail to tip of its claws
ANGLER NOT DANGLER
G'day Bdowdy i got my Peacock Bass off a friend who knew a guy that used to breed them.. Mine are a breeding pair you can see the eggs beneath them in that photo.. So far they have had 4 lots of eggs but I haven't successfully raised any to a decent size.. I've seen them at Atlas Aquariums in Brisbane about 3 inches long for $250 or you could give NOjacks a pm and ask him where he got his.. They are a little pricey but well worth it in entertainment value!! Cheers PBass
mate nice peacocks, a nicely marked fish . we should probably look in to getting some at our shop,we havent had a big look into them yet, as they are hard to get. - a really spectacular fish!
i got a breeding pair of redclaw in my barra tank, the yabbies were actually feeders but they lived and hid in the ceremic log and never come out, the female is pushed up the back of it and never moves, cause its cramped. but some how they bred.
I also have a yabbie that is turning blue, which will look very nice when its older, in my Toga tank. He was also a feeder
hopefully the yabbie will look like a darker blue marron when its older.
