    Early Bay Assualt

Finished work at 3am, on the water by 4am. Seas great.
Hit the eastern side of mud, little quiet first then had a good run.
Berkleys Fresh Squid in pink and white did the damage.
Release a lot just under and over, and only kept the four.
Back on the road by 10am.
    regards

Gee whizz, eh! I was on the eastern side of Mud at about 4.30 am. I did not know that you had a bare tinnie. At least, that was the only other boat that I saw there at that time. Maybe you were further north than I was. ... or maybe a long way east of Mud.

    Nice fish.

    Cheers Dazza

PS Will you be wearing the white attire on Sat so Greg feels at home on your boat

Ah You cannot give away too many secrets, yes i was on the eastern side of mud but you remember the place you and Darren followed us out one night and we had that encounter with the container ship
glad to see you back out at your favourite haunt, you when missing for awhile
Chief cannot let you lower the river stocks, without equalizing the bay stocks
Dazza wx not look that crash hot for the weekend at present, but you'll no where i'll be.

Thanks mate. yeah - I suspected that was where you were. If only I had taken a copy of those coordinates that night ...

What I do remember about that night was the thunderstorm and Darren's being a little worried. What was there to worry about? - we were only in an aluminium boat in the middle of a violent thunderstorm.

'Twas good to get out there again. First time in many many months. I have the boat still hooked up to the car and am thinking about whizzing out tomorrow morning maybe as well. I found some big schools of bait at Mud today that might be worth exploring as to what is swimming underneath them.

BTW, you are not serious about having used Berkley thingies today are you? - or is that in the same vein as being "on the eastern side of Mud"?

This might jog your memory of that trip, also it was the night Rays brother scored his PB snapper from the bay.
And the ocean transfer of a certain fella off mud island that night, can still remember his face as we transferred him aboard

Ah yes. 'Twas a top night out. ...and my mid-ocean transfer from Darren's boat to Chris' Cruisecraft was memorable. If you look at the size of my my legs in the picture you will understand why I swim like a wind tunnel tuned snapper lead and that had I slipped between the cracks that night, you would never have found me.

I have the sneaking suspicion from looking at the picture of your four fish at the top of this thread that you caught them at a similar time of day also.

    All great fun!
