Thread: Wreck off Coffs

    Wreck off Coffs

I am going to be spending some time in Coffs over the Xmas holidays and have a few marks to work. My GPS software is showing a wreck approx. 15kms SE of the harbour. Has anyone fished or know how well this wreck fishes and what, if any, are the main varities that are pulled from it?

    Thanks
    Yolo

There was a trawler go down in that area in approx 1989/1990. Dont have the exact mark for it however. Do have some reliable coffs marks if you are in need. Good time of the year to fish coffs as there is some great fish on offer however the holiday crowd can be a bit much. Afternoon fishes can avoid a bit of this problem if the weather allows. The current runs pretty hard over the xmas period down there as a rule and can make the bottom fishing a bit tricky but the pelagic run is just kicking in. Send a PM if you need any info on what to do whilst there. Cheers.

    Hi halfmanhalffish.
I'm heading to Coffs in 2 weeks time. Would you mind sending me some info that you have? I'm looking to head offshore, maybe not 15km but if you have a few close marks then that would be very handy.
    cheers
