It has been a fair while since I have been offshore, I am going out in a 17 foot boat of Mooloolaba on Tuesday Night. Seabreeze.com.au and other sites are saying about 1 to 2 meeter can anyone offer an opinion if this will be comfortable weather to be out there in?
nowornever, depends on how far out you want to go - the swell was dropping today and should continue to improve through to wednesday with an easing of the wind. Was out on the weekend and it wasn't comfortable at all with about 1.5 metre short swell with a cross chop but the way conditions are moderating I would say you should be ok. But then again the forecast was issued by the weather bureau - best try and get hold of some one local to confirm as unfortunately I am down inn brisvegas for a couple of days.
Probably to late for you to read this - but I walked the wall this morning and the sea was almost flat. Bugger all wind. Always the way when I am down there exercising and the boat is home in the garage .
