    GC double report

This last week until friday i was away on a camp and could not get out.
on the way back was organised to get out wide of the seaway for an overnighter as soon as i got back but ofcourse everything went to plan (i dont know who's plan) and my bus's brakes malfunctioned and we ran into the back of the other bus and were left stranded on the side of the highway for an hour+ for more buses....
Anyway i gave the crew a ring and they were off without me, they headed out of the seaway then down the coast for little, very little, all they got after a few hours was a slimy on a slug....
they headed back up the coast to secret spot x which normally produces some nice trag and a couple of mack tuna.
They got 1 tailor, 1 flatty and 1 trag which was lassoed, no hook was in it but the line was wrapped around its stomache then hooked over the hook....

That was friday arvo till saturday midday.
i was able to head out with my dad for sunday, headed down from the seaway again and was able to get 6 nice trag, all over 50 and 3 snapper/squire 1st was 36, 2nd was 42 and 3rd was 54.
3rd snapper has the meanest looking knob on him, it was further out then his mouth.
all fish were caught on bait, snapper were all caught on gangs floated down with pillies and squid, trag were all caught on strips of yakkas.

The amount of bait out there was unreal, everywhere bait balls were everywhere, none broke the surface all about 10m under the surface and hanging around the bottom. No big fish could be pulled from any of this.
we tried trolling for a few hours but nothing, none of the schools broke the surface at any point either, in the seaway itself there was alot of bait aswell, all only about an inch long. So thick the sounder could not pick up the bottom.

so yea, pretty hopeless for the w/e conditions on sunday picked up but were fishable, still a days fishing though. Charters out there were not getting anything either except for the ones who went real wide, all fish were caught along the 24's
