Never buy anything but a cat again
Took some getting used to but I prefer cats
Still learning how to drive my cat - not sure
Monos are just as good
Cats ride funny and I don't like it
Never touching a cat again
Mick i reckon your trihull would ride good mate, much better than any mono thats 4 sure, i have heard some good reports bout the trihulls, they are good if you dont push em 2 hard where as a cat is the opposite. I love how the faster i go the better it rides, good stuff
Has anyone ever been in a Noosacat 2700? what did you think?
i only have a 4m cat but after what i have seen in this 1 i would only have a mono hull that is 1and 1/2 times as long as the cat i could get
4.0m webster cat ready for battle
hi nautilas
Yes mate I have been in a noosacat 2700. My mate uses one as a charter boat in Sydney and its ride is awesome. He runs 150 opties on it and it cruises at 28knts comfortably and always is one of the first boat out to the grounds and back again fishing wide off sydney. Nice soft ride, but you also pay for what you get.
what about the stability of a deep V's cylinder boat like stabi craft or ocean cylinder, Ive been in a 7m coastal cat and nothing compares to that so far and ive been quite a few different breeds but you just gotta drive them to the conditions. Cats usually go better when you are going fast but watch out you might have an upside down boat hehe i love the stability of the stabi craft cant go past it.
Hey Julian your'e new ride looks horn
Julian - Tell me more about your new boat. It looks like a Noosacat. Which model and what engines?
I am still tossing up what to do on my boating situation, whether to bring a Glacier Bay back from the US or buy something local and am definitely interested in the Noosacats.
Noosa Cat and Glacier Bay are two very different boats, and almost not comparable as such, for me I guess I would lean towards the Noosa over the Glacier, for a couple of reasons maybe.
I realize they are different animals in a number of ways but even so I am still tossing around ideas.
GB - Heavier, slower, thirstier but bigger and probably rides a little smooter. Plus I can also have one landed in Aus at a significant cost savings over the NC. BUT > 2.5m beam.
NC - I think would be lighter and faster as well as more fuel efficient, but is also smaller and more expensive than the GB.
Am I on the right track?
