    Rainbow?inskip

Whats it like boating up at rainbow/inskip?
Where would be best place to put boat in?
    Where can u go.
Iam looking for something different and thought this might be a change.
Got 4wd as well so bit of beach fish as well but prefer to spend it in boat.
Is it possable to go up to fraser or kingfisher from there without to much trouble.
Do we have a local or someone who has done it.
All info appreciated. Iam going away late feb.

    Cheers

Mate I have a permanent place at Rainbow Waters Caravan Park Rainbow Beach
The best place to launch a boat is at Carlo Point near the caravan park
You can visit Fraser Island by boat or catch the car barge from inskip. The Barge fare is about $80 return. Kingfisher bay maybe a bit far away for a day visit by car.
This Caravan Park allows dogs, has camping and cabins clean amenities blockand also has a jetty and pontoon
The fishing is good both in the esturaries or outside.
PM me if you have any further questions

    Regards

    Thanks ken
Is that the park behind the pub?
Howlong does it take to get up near fraser by boat.
    i got 5m tinnie with 75hp.
is there any reefs close by that is safe to get too.
I camped few times at teewah but never fished up there in a boat.

    cheers

    Hi Greg

The park is not behind the pub but down carlo road
The park your talking about is in Rainbow Beach Township the other park is 5 km outside the township and closer to the ramp
To get to Fraser Island from Carlo point would take you 20 minutes.
Another plus for Rainbow Waters Caravan Park is that due to being so far outside the township you don't get the local louts visiting nd also the local police do regular patrols of the park to show their presence.

Sorry but forgot you need to book early if you want a powered site as this park is very busy with grey nomads due to dogs being allowed.
