    NPD old Prfma launch site.

Went to a meeting at the old PRFMA launch site today. Took a few photos it is a bit sad when you realise that the roadover the top of the culvert used to have 6 feet of water over it and the dam was not full them.
    Cheers

    G'Day Ray,
I got out there around lunch, I haven't been down there for a while. Was shocking to see no water in sight at all.

Like Luc said, it will rain. I recon soon. Have been some small inflows recently, I was up around the upper catchment last weekend, most of the creeks were running. Some pics HERE>>>

Hopefully next year Lake Samsonvale will be full & the access scheme will be open again.

    Cheers,

Guys, maybe it is time to visit the NPD and mark all the potential structure spots for when and if it refills.

I would be willing to bet my house (well, my landlords house) that when the dam is back to normal, that culvert is home to Mr Cod.

I fish it every weekend and have been keeping an eye on the water level in relation to a stump in the water that I walk past....it's been coming up very very slowly over the last few months...better than going the other way.

    G'Day Ray,

Didn't realise that was you out there on Sunday, i am the old bugger with a white beard and Akubra, will make sure we have a chat next time we cross.
I put up a post a couple of months ago after we had a working bee out there and posted a few pictures, from the ramp and from the mouth of the bay on the bank of the actual Nth Pine River. The lack of water is very disheartening, but as Luc says the rain will come, i can only hope that it dosen't take all the fish over the wall when it does come.

Rodman, it would be a hopeless task as there is around 3 meters of brush in the area now, you would never find anything unless you fell over it. Wild tobbaco bushes and gum trees 3 meters high, wild pigs tunneling through it all.

Leigh 77 When the water level was still in the bay at the ramp, just a few feet wide and not long after access was closed off, the area just below the culvert was home to a couple of Saratoga, hope they managed to get out before the mouth dried up.

    Cheers,
    Obi_Wan
