Re: MBAA Releases our Solution to the rezoning of Moreton Bay

I can assure Ausfish members that MBAA is most definitely not going away and we have definitely not given up on this review by a long shot.

Our scientifiic team is doing a thorough assessment of the EPA's proposal and we will be hitting them with some strong responses shortly. The media release just posted is the first of many to come from MBAA, MBSIA and QSIA (the professional fishing orgainsations) who we continue to stand together with against the anti-fishing lobby. I'll also post a few of the releases they've issued as well.

Apologies for being a bit quiet on this during the week, but there has been action aplenty happening behing the scenes, with meetings with both sides of politics and industry.

To run a campaign and produce posters and flyers costs $ though, and I'd like to acknowledge recent support from Brisbane Sportfishing Club and hope they are not the only ones who see the need to help us to carry the fight forward.

    FYI Our address is:

    MBAA
    A Division of Marine Qld
    PO BOX 3305
    TINGALPA DC, QLD 4173

    Regards

    Grant

Grant it was very good of you to offer to completly close fishing and crabbing in our local creek down the Gold Coast but unless you have a good explanation i would preffer the EPA option they only want an extra 500 meters of river. WAYNE.
