    Amazing but very frustrating

After reading Blooeys great session from the kayak yesterday i had to go and give it a crack for myself. Got the permission slip, loaded the yak and went to the spot. Paddled just around the corner from where i launched and was on straight away to a small bass, next cast on again, another small model, this was awesome fun so i decided to hit the spot where i get the bigger ones, after 15 min of nothing i went back to the first spot, well for the next 1 1/5 hrs i had a ball but got very frustrated with the number of dropped catches, nearly every cast produced a hook up but lost either early in the fight or right beside the yak,was getting very annoyed but still persistance pays of and i landed 5 more bass, over legal with one going into the early 40,s. All up 7 bass and i counted 28 hook ups without a word of a lie. Still along way from Blooeys best but still had the best session i have ever had bassing in a yak. Still cant crack the 50,s tho, one day.
No pics, you just have to take my word for it.
All bass where caught on a jackall.
    Cheers

Have had the same happen to me once or twice with bass. Heaps of hits and hook ups but not too many landed. Usual would be landing 8 out of 10 hits but on the rare occassion I might land 3 out of 10 hits. It's my guess when this is happening the bass arn't feeding and are only slashing at the lure in anger as a lot landed are hooked on the outside of their mouth or under their jaw. Maybe it's the rattle in the Jackall bugging them because a switch to spinnerbaits or plastics results in no hits at all. Could also be the clarity of the water not letting the bass get a good look at your lure. Barra often get in a mood like also.

It can't be the hooks on Jackalls arn't sharp enough.
Sorry Bruce I couldn't help myself.
