Great country up there. Heaps of variety and options. Love those Goldies
headed out into this great fishery to chase whatever came along ,tried the picnic island area first ,a few squire up to 380mm, the tide started to move a bit slower so it was easier to find bottom with our plastics a queenfish going 700mm was a better catch then off to chase tuna,we found a big school of smallish mack tuna with them on the chew ,half hour of of mayhem a few boated many lost but great fun we trolled to the next spot and the little lady hooked a good golden trev going 7kg .stopped off at a couple of beacons with a good school of squire hanging of them heaps of 300 to 380mm fish but good on your bass gear, rain looked bad over fraser so in we went with a good day behind us cheers AL

Thanks for the report, Im moving up there next year. did you put it at River Heads ramp, or are you further south?
Your boat looks similar to mine too. Glad to see that craft is suitable for the water. Keep em coming.
cheers
Andrew
hi gecko,i put in at the marina complex in the bay itself,it is in my opinion one of the best ramp set ups in austtralia 2 ramps with 4 boat width lanes on each one,i travelled aussie in the late 90s and never came close to seeing one like this.my boat is 4.5mtrs and does everthing i need but i need a little under horse powered though, but can still get up to wutumba creek easy which is 60k up the inside of fraser.riverheads is great to launch at if you want to fish the channel down south of kingfisherbay resort and that area.
