Tried my luck this morning from 5 am - 8am on the big incoming tides. A fair bit of activity in the water as barra and Salmon and Sharks were rounding up the bait. I was targeting Salmon or Grunter but ended up with 2 sharks about 70cm each. they go like the clappers. Only landed 2 sharks but got smoked a few times by sharks and once by a leaping barra. My mate hooked on to the biggest catfish I have ever seen and also landed a nice 75cm salmon. Big tides mean big runs.................good fun anyway. I suspect the Northelies are back and that seems to spell disaster for me when I hit the rock walls. bring on the SE winds again.
