    Rainbow---Rous Thur

Headed across to Rainbow thurs morning at 5am with Intentions to chase some speedsters, but gave it up in the first hour.
So went chasing a few blue fish with the aid of my d.r., in the rainbow and rous.
Headed back in a lunch after a good session, with a mixture of blackspots and grass tuskies, best went 5kg and all caught on either sandies or parts there off or berkley plastic crabs.
great weather with the winds coming up around lunch.
Will post pic tonight when i get home and baits used.
    regards

A d.r. hey mmmm, bought a second handy recently and have not used it cos i haven't fished for an eternity. Will be good to see how it fares when a new arty goes in soonish, maybe .

Till then i'll have to learn how to use it best. I remember some bloke did a write up in the ole BnB some time back , might have to dig it up and have a peeky, just to see if he knows what he's talking about.

Good change in plan Webby. DR is the only way to fish these big tides. I took mine out today a bit further north and scored a nice Yellow Tail King on a slow trolled 25cm Bream.

No sign of any pelagic activity in the northern and central Bay

I'm having a senior's moment here, not to mention a mental block.

    What's a "d.r." ?

My guess is a "down rigger" to combat the current which gets pretty fast where webby fished. Without one I gave up trying in that part of the world.

    Thank you Brian.

Yes of course. A down rigger. Webby has one on his vessel. I was thinking of something electronic, which was causing me some trouble.

    Thanks again.

Been having trubs with my digi loading onto my puter, then the photo studio 5 i use to down size, went on the blink.
Had a puter wizz look at it and seemed to have remedied the prob.
Pic below of the catch, and inserts of the baits used.

This gives you a couple of options

    http://www.floridasportsman.com/gear...0_Slider/#cont

You can also use a cannon stacker that clips onto the wire or just put a heavy three way swivel and a couple of meters of wire before the bomb so you can clip another release to it

    Cheers
