planing to hire a boat from bears so anywhere from there to near the highway bridge

first bit of deep water heading into Bald Hills Creek near the bottom of the tide should find you netting a few live prawns. Also upstream a few hundred yards there is a feeder creek on the western bank that schools them sometimes too.

may be stupid but where the hell is bald hills creek and how do i get there
have a look in your street refidex directory. it is between dohles rocks znd the horney brook bridge on the southern side.
you can also try shorncliffe pier, if ya want. it's pretty good for em 2, iv'e cleaned up nice there before.

There have been a few near the sunken barge above Castle Hill. I've been getting enough for a live bait session, but not enough (and mostly too small) to make a feed. You're getting about 3 or 4 per cast. If you want to work at for long enough you might do OK

the bait shop at carsledine on the high way sells fresh prawns from in the pine we used some last night the bream liked them . we tried to catch some livies but only got a few small mullet but we also caught about 7 big mullet aswell . that was up past castle hill . im pretty sure the bear boat hire boats are not alowed to go past the highway bridge . there is alot of prawns ficking around the bridge at night time .
