Hey bud, i put a report up in the estuary section from a few days ago about fishing there.

If you are searching for flattie, try the rock pier next to the jetty first. At the end on both sides.

I picked up a few good flattie on sp's fishing towards the jetty from there the other day in some quite dirty water.

I;ve always found the actual pier to be worthless for bream and flattie. If you are floating pillies, you may be in some luck for thready if you put the yards in.

That was at the top of the tide in the morning, in slow north-easterlies.

edit* just realised you read it :S sorry

yer mate i read it, you cleaned up pretty good that day!!, i have had good sesssions there before when i have done pretty good with bream, but i havent tryed the rock wall next to it.
thats strange how ppl have been catching threadies there, i have never seen one be caught there before, and i practically lived there every weekend fishing.Although it is close to the brizzy river.

    thnx anyway mate.

    any one else know.

Yeah a mate of mine pulled in a tiny threadie there this time last year, if there is small ones there should be bigger ones. Cheers Chris

If you ever see a guy fishing up to his nuts on the rock wall side of the pier thats probably me! FIsh the outgoing tide just after high and you will always get flathead! I always fish with SP's, any colour seems to work, but a drop shot minnow seems to work better for me. There is also an old guy the fishes out from the first bend at the northern end of the pier, if he is there, so are the flathead.
Also caught a few lizards around the rock wall. Do yourself a favour and walk the banks on a dead low tide, you will quickly see the flatty holes.

As for bream, seem to vary, but casting under the pier seems to work for me. Other than that i never catch anything but rays and shovels off there.
