I only have one tip, don't eat large spanish from there, they are a known ciguatera risk - big time

I am with Stu but a little more on the mackeral.. don't eat any from that area.. CIga is a bad thing had it 18months back.. not good

For your information, it is illegal to to keep or have in your possession any Spanish Mackeral, Black King(Cobia),Yellowtailtail King, Barracuda, Catfish and Queenfish within Platpus Bay. Platpus Bay is defined by a line from Rooney's Point to the mouth of Coongal Creek. This is because of the chance that these fish caught in these waters could contain ciguatera. Also be warry of Mudcrabs and Mangrove Jack caught in Wathumba Creek as I know of people that caught mild cases of cigatera from eating these. But I still love the place and there are plenty of other fish to catch. Hope this helps.

went for 2 days flat calm fished all over only caught long finned snapper pinkies couple school sharks i have no marks for area used top fishing spot book [ ]even went wide off roonies point drifted all over loved lagoon at wathumba even caught 2 happy moments in there
