This guy has no political motives or loyalties, he just does what the dollars tell him, no doubt there is funding for his 'cause' coming from another political party (most likely in my opinion, the Greens, who will pick on the little guys to get their way).
But I tell you what if he is successful in getting the senate election postponed in QLD, there is no way I am giving up more time to the federal election on my weekend, I work hard for them, so I'm going to make the most of them, and voting a second time doesn't appear in the top 100 on my list of things to do.
Well well well. The things you find trawling through the net.
NOTE THIS IS DATED 2004
Ned Kelly resurrected
Ned Kelly is back and it’s Health Minister Tony Abbott who has most to fear. Kelly, not Australia’s most infamous bushranger resurrected from the dead to fight for the immediate introduction of the seven tier item restructure, is standing against Mr Abbott his Warringah, Sydney constituency. His real name is Terry Sharples, the man embroiled in the saga to bring down former One Nation leader Pauline Hanson last year, and is running for the Fishing Party.
ROFL he is running for the fishing PARTY rofl rofl rofl OMG Shane you really know how to pick your friends.
Just re-read post post I sound like a 16 year old chatting on IRC with all those rofl's and OMG's
OH right well it doesn't matter does it. I wonder who he is affiliated with?
At least KC got a lot of air time to voice other issues while talking about this git
Any publicity is good publicity and a lot more people know a little more about AFLP now
Gee the TFP senate candidates are really putting the hard yards in Qld

Well i've been away an have missed a lot. I voted today in a pre-vote due to committments with the Army. It's the first time i have voted below the line (first time at all but thats another story). Starting off with AFLP, The shooters Party, and i forget the rest. libs were fourth i think. I left the greens, Labour, and the democrats last. Being very short on time filling out the 65 boxes was pressing me but i hope i have done my part for the fishing vote.
P.S. I'm not sure if this has been brought up but, if someone could show a photo with an electoral ballot paper showing what numbers to put where so that the votes go closest to the fishing sector as possible would be very helpfull.
I didnt have the first clue who half the names were let alone their prefrences.
Cheers Chris
Democracy: Simply a system that allows the 51% to steal from the other 49%.
I agree with Mario (Blackadder).
Lets not get too upset with the situation and get on with supporting the AFLP.
Hang in there Adam.
Cheers
Stue
the last I heard was that the Judge would not expedite the hearing prior to Saturday. The entire thing is a debacle...anyone that votes for TFP needs some serious help...they are nothing but a joke.
OK... am finally allowed just this one limited but clarifying comment (for now... thanks Stue)
The action was Terry Patrick Sharples & The Fishing Party (TFP) vs Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) & Australian Fishing and Lifestyle Party (AFLP)
Terry Patrick Sharples is a member of the TFP (NSW) and ran for election twice for TFP in NSW. So its not Mr Sharples but Mr Sharples AND The fishing Party (Bob Smith) versus The Australian government (AEC) and AFLP.
Hope to bring more news as it clears... but from what I have heard, this thing has a long way to go yet, it would make for a good daytime soap drama... if only we knew.
Adam
But Greg, what if .... and yep, I normally hate what ifs, ...... but what if Bob Smith and The Fishing Party are legally right in what they are trying to do.
THIS IS ALL HYPOTHETICAL .......... BUT
Look at it this way ......... someone spends years building up a business; the business expands and goes interstate; a director is put in charge of the interstate branch; there is a disagreement between this director and head office; he gets pissed off and goes and starts his own business; in doing so he takes most of their staff and most of their customers; shouldn't the company fight to get that business back?
Heres the analogy ............. Bob Smith starts TFP and in so doing sets up a branch in Queensland; an executive is put in place; there is disagreement between the Queensland executive and Bob; Queensland go off and start their own party; in so doing they take with them most of Bob's Queensland branch members; before he can do much about it the election is on and they are also trying to take with them Bob's Queensland voters; shouldn't Bob fight to get them back.
Interesting to say the least but all hypothetical ................ don't you just love Mr Robinson.
