Well done mate. Equals your PB doesn't it. Good to see the effort paid off. There is still a few bigger out there too mate. Try a little bit further south

Well done Silent. the best thing that could happen to the bloody mongrels who did that would be that the bits that they threw away would attract a big live one that would take their bloody legs off.
As for the fins being left. That is no indicator of ethnicity (or not). Not all "New Aussies" know how to prepare shark fin soup and if my memory serves, the soup is made from dried fins and some folk haven't got the facilities for drying.

CASTLEMAINE - Well I could say PB on plastic also bay snapper twice on same model. My PB offshore snapper as 6kg mark... Hopefully crack it sooner
NIPPER, DODSBODY & KINGTIN - interesting note over a wasteful fin and seem like not pro's act but we might be wrong
BLUEFIN -Like the word "early bird does get the worm" that may be my role
BAYFISH - Yep they are at Whyte island boat ramp
CHIEF - same thing to your River guru
SEAHORSE - I know what you mean its good for bait in the dusk, I lost faith in the bait and joined darkside just over a year!!!
FOGGY - I know what you're saying... I'll need a colour fish finder to see real under water
Well done silent, great fish mate.

Silent i hit mud this morning and was there at 4.15, fished all the usual spots for 2 undersized squire between 2 fishing, i cant believe the difference between fishing the last 6 months and the first few months of this year, i dont think im doing anything different either, just slow going.
ALLEYCAT - Don't give up and hopefully it will fire up soon...maybe I'm wrong
You know for the first 3 months of this year it was normal for me to bag out by 6am although i rarely kept more than a couple for a feed but 8-10 legal fish was the norm with one morning in february saw me catch 18 legal squire by 8 am, but since may this year i have not been able to catch more than 2 squire on a trip and i always go midweek, in fact my average since may would be 1 fish for every 2 trips, im glad its not just me but it makes you wonder whats happening, i hope its not the success of soft plastics taking its toll.
No offence intended whatsoever ALLEY but maybe you need to look at your methods?
The last 2-3 trips to Mud for me have been the most successful ever (mind you these have been dispersed over the past 3 months). I know certain guys are doing extremely well on SP's at Mud of late! Perhaps you need to change SP styles/colours, maybe float a pillie out the back too to see if that attracts interest and hence tells you what they are doing at the time. It's very easy to get wrapped in a good period where everything works wonders and you can do no wrong but sometimes this just lulls us into a false sense of security and then the need to experiment and learn further becomes paramount! Don't rest on the laurels of a few good months...
Take Care T
Well done there mate, one day I'll get myself onto one of those knobbies.... one day
That is a top quality fish Silent, good for you mate
In regards to the sharks, that is disgusting, you'd think if you wanted to cut all that off you might run the boat out a few hundred Mtrs or something and deep 6 them, not leave them there like that ! nothing will eat them that close to shore, so in a few days the place will stink like well, you know
If men are from Mars, and women are from Venus, politicians must be from uranus ?
That is one healthy fish and a nice fight i bet. Well done on a solid fish.
