    What size prop for 1987 V6 Merc?

    Hi, I'm looking for a SS replacement prop for my 1987 135hp Mariner (merc). Seems to be a heap of them on ebay at a reasonable price. How do I know what size / pitch I need? Is it a big job to replace?

    What diameter and pitch are you running at present? I would expect about 14 x 17 (pitch). Are you reaching 5800rpm, at full throttle?

    If so you want the same spec prop in stainless.

    Easy to change.

    Thats the problem, I don't know what size it is? I was wondering if there is somewhere that you could find out? I'm happy with the prop on it which I beleive is standard and would like the same but in SS.
