Seat mount for tinnie..

Hi fellas,

Got one of those el cheapo set mounts for the tinnie(The one with the 4 wing-nuts), and the bloody thing moves quite a bit no matter how tight I put it on.

Saw a far better one (had 2 nice big handles at the front) on a tinnie down at the ramp, but I'm buggered if I can find anyone that sells them(tried Whitworths + BCF)....Hoping someone knows where I can get them, or a better option for what have currently?

Hey there Mick, I tossed the clamp seat base away long ago.
Mate, I have set my seat up in this way, Using a fold down seat with a S/S swivel mounted to the seat , I then worked out where the best position for the folding seat to be fitted to the tinny seat. I used two pieces of Rope Sail Track about .600 long and Pop Riveted that to the Tinny Seat, fitting ,snuggly around the S/S swivel of the foldy seat. I fitted two stops one at each end. I can now adjust the foldy seat if I am in the tinny on my own. My weight holds the seat steady with no movement . This has worked like a beauty, We roof top the tinny allround the state, no problems so far.

Try Bias, cat 7328. Match it with cat 3445.


Go to the bias boating website to have an idea. Have had this in my tinny for many many years, and no worries.

i just pop riverted some ally angle were the seat went and havent had a problem chears

i bought one that will fit the bigger wide tharts from troy at custom craft 54912167 it cost 160 but you could tow a skier off the thing it was that well built there is one left sitting there . i hav never seen them any where else

When i had one i got some garden hose, put a cut down one side and push it over the frame that clamped onto the seat.

I've got the same setup as Dave and have been quite happy with it over the past couple of years... hasn't broken at all and does away with the crappy clamp systems
