Are my eyes kidding me?? A reef jig?
Weeeelll, one of these days I will have to submit to vanity and take the spec's shopping with me!
With the weekend sales 25-30%on in the fishing and camping sections, thought it the right day to start replishing the lost toys.
Nuclear Chicken - tick
pumkinseed - tick
shiner - tick
salt and pepper glow - tick
Hot tomato - tick
all time favourite technicolor yawn - tick
bait jig (not buying sabiki rod to lose it again) - errr tick??
Instead of a 6 bait jig, the packet looks like, is shiny like but says Reef series?
Put on specs..... Target species include; snapper, morwong, trevally, kingfish???? etc
They are kidding! same little hooks, little green beads, glitter and plastic.
Am I going dotty , has anyone used these slightly bigger bait jigs

Is that the mustad ones on big red suicide hooks? i think the idea with those is to bait the hooks and the extra bit of flash etc is ment to get the fishes attention even if your bait has been picked at a bit.

yes its the mustard ones.
Now thats an idea i wonder if i tied the flashy stuff to a normal gama hook would it improve the rate?
hmm least with wind and weather its something else to do.

yeh i wouldn't bother buying one, same thing can be achieved with a lumo bead and if you have some fly tying material it wouldn't hurt either.
