    Best Insurance

Who got the best deal as far as insurance is concerned? Just realised I've been paying 0ver $600 a year when I could have got away with $418 a year to cover the haines for $26k.
Anyone had any trouble with Nautiluss Marine or Club Marine as far as claims go.
Any other insurance companies that are worth looking into.
    Cheers

I only have a tinny but the best quote I got for a replacement package ($9K) was RACQ for approx $170. You can get a quick quote from there website as well.

Try Trident Insurance. They did a great deal on my boat and are underwritten by QBE.

    Worth a look anyway.

    Thanks everyone

Nautiluss can do that. They will either cover market value or agreed value with a marine valuers quote.
At $418 for $26K they seem about the least expensive of the 3 quotes I have gotten so far. No one has said anything bad against them yet.

    Re: Best Insurance

Roll all your insurances into one package and it will be a hell of a lot cheaper i pay $88 with suncorp and insured for $30,000.00. All up we insure 2 cars, home, 2 lots of contents, boat, boat trailer, box trailer.

As i said the boat and trailer insurance is $88.

    Cheers Rod....

Doesnt work that way with everyone. I've got everything with wesfarmers and for boat motor trailer accessories all listed seperately $611which includes GST and Govt stamp duty. Maybe what I save on the insurance on the houses they make up on the boat car and contents.
Think I might spend the day getting a few quotes on everything

    Mick,

make sure you try the 'usuals', racq and nrma.
get a quote from racq, then call nrma - they will beat an offer from racq (well at least they did for me just because i asked).
i don't have any other insurance with them.

    cheers,

    Mick
