Guide To Maroochy River - Part Three

    Hi to all.

I took Lapras's advice and made the circles bigger to keep everyone happy.

1: The sandbank near Bli Bli boatramp produces good flatties, bream and whiting. I recommend Lures or SP's around here.

2: Barra Park - Barra, Mullet, Flathead, Mangrove Jack, Whiting, Tarwhine. The list goes on. Worth the admission price.

3: Around the David Low Bridge a lot of good bream on the bite. Whiting and Flathead plentiful aswell.

4: Up Cook's Road is a grassy patch good platform for fishing for your estuary species and jack.

5: A small creek. Never fished it but worth a shot.

    Until next time.

Still can't see any problem with these post's, If your know the maroochy river at all, you will know that they arn't anything close to a secret. What he is posting is the very same spots as any bait shop would print out or show him. Its a big river with plenty of holes that hold plenty of jacks and other speicies. If you noticed most of the post about Jacks are in spot marked X and I can tell you now none of the spots shown are anything close to a hot spot for Jacks so get over it .

Tropical how would you like it if we all started giving up the hotspots up your way,I bet you`d be pissed!!!!
I just don`t want to get into a situation where all of our hard earned work trying to find quiet reliable spots is given up just for the sake of chasing a few bucks selling a few bloody magazines!!!!!!!!!!!

You diddn't find those spot I diddn't either they are well know thoughout the sunny coast community and I would hardly call them quiet , they produce fish regular basis as to the pressure thats upon them. how many boat do you see at these spots for exsample the cod hole heaps they are regular spots not secret spots and for the passing fisho these sort of post are good gives him a idea not a solution.

Re: Guide To Maroochy River - Part Three

There are heaps of MY SPOTS get posted on here with regular monotony but that just means I go elsewhere for a while till the blowflies move on.

I wouldn't stress too much if you live and fish in the areas mentioned. They way Keenfisha has named multiple areas even if somewhat acurately will spread any new visitors around. What would be worse is if a very big fish pic was posted with the single spot mentioned, then you got a crowd

Just looking at a few of Keenfisha's ealier posts,

what he has posted doesn't seem to be from his own exepriences. Seems like he's just a keen young guy wanting to share some info he has found, and that being the case it is probably widely available elsewhere as has been said. SO cut him a bit of slack.

Re: Guide To Maroochy River - Part Three

yep. I can confirm that there's barra in the barra park. top spot. very secret.

So far I think he's name 15 spots in the river. Some pinpoint direction there. Plus he's missed what we know as the good spots. And no bait or tide time info. I would have thought it's a good thing to send people to the well known spots and keep away from the hard earned spot X's.
