definatley mission point.and definatley no 4b access to there.but if anyone wants to come and you need a lift over im sure that can be organised.
hey weelchairguy .It is pretty sandy around the camp area with no hard surfaced areas to speak of .The toilet area could be a little difficult as its a 2 storey high pit set up so we would have to help you up a flight of stairs, having said that im sure there will be plenty of willing helpers around for you so if your keen to come go for it.

No 4WD access is just for the un-adventurous... mind you from what i hear after all the rain up there the whole inland is boat access only :-P

On a more serious note, i'd love to come for the weekend, but being boatless i'd love a lift if there is space free. Will be me, a reasonable size esky, and a swag.

    hey MTE
A lift wont be a prob its only a five min blast across the passage from donnybrook. What we will have to do with campsites is wait and see how many people book sites.I would say if you are definatley coming its best to book the next available site and then any other people that just have a swag or something could set up with you.The camping charge which is only cheap(about $4per person per night)is the same regardless of how many camp sites we take up so there is no point cramming in .And if people are staying at a site that has been booked by someone else they need to make sure they are included in the number of people booked to stay at that site, and they have paid for their spot. The national parks guys come around pretty much every day and check the camp sites and the number of people at them.so at $4 per night its best to save the headaches.

    I'm in. Sounds good.

Choppa let me know if you need a hand with anything.

Scotty and Col- are you going to post up some of those ideas we talked about around the fire? (i'm struggling at work today)

I may be able to organise a spare tinny if someone needs it. Will let you know.

Sounds good. I'll book a site for 4 people so that i can chuck my swag down and that allows another 3 swags on that space.

Depending on when it is in march, I might even have a tinny by then... the size of the bonus will be the deciding factor.

Re: mission point m&g,,, march 2008

    Sounds like a good weekend.
If we can make it, Mrs Brissy and I will come up for the meet.
We will sleep aboard so no need for a camp site.
    Look forward to meeting everyone.

    Cheers,
    Rich.

Re: mission point m&g,,, march 2008

The definate date is the weekend of the 8th and 9th of march we have booked for the 7th 8th 9th so we wont pack up until monday morning the 10th.just to mention again if you are planning on going home on sunday arvo you r still best to book your site for sunday night so you dont have somebody rock up at 11o'clock sunday morning telling you to pack up unless like MTE you r swagging it then it prolly wont bother u.

As scotty mentioned above we are putting a few ideas together for entertainment such as some casting competitions and some lite hearted fishing comp and getting people to put on a few small presentations at night on some of their fishing methods or equipment they like to use.We will see what sort of prizes we can put together.Col might even chuck in a new 680 maxi or something.

On the fishing scene around here at that time of year things are about as good as it gets.Muddies should be around as well as prawns for the net chuckers.all the estuary species can be caught within a k or so of the camp and Jacks will be a good chance as well.

Its about a twenty min run out to the front of bribie and from there its the usuall 45min or so to whatever you want from reefies to pelagics and we should be into some good trolling buy then with blacks hoos and dollies .

So pretty well whatever you want will be a chance given the rite weather.Fuel is available on the water at spinnaker sound marina and from camp its 5min back to donnybrook and a short walk across the road to the shop for fuel ice or whatever you need.

Everyone is welcome as we are all very well behaved and id even go as far as saying ''A LITTLE BIT POSH''.

    dont forget the bushmans
    cheers scotty
