    Yamba - info/charter query

    Hi Guys,

Heading down to yamba for 8 days from the 16th November. Does anybody know of any offshore fishing charters that run from there and if so are they any good.

Probably pushing to get on a charter this time although i will try.

Actually any info on what is biting would be greatly appreciated. I am land based.

    Thanks in advance
    Craig

    Try Yamba Sportsfishing Adventures

    Ph:02-66458446
    Mob: 0434517683

Don't know what they're like but they're the only ones in the phone book for Yamba.

We've been getting plenty of Rain over the past two weeks so Fishing would be a bit ordinary I'm guessing.

Before that some nice Flathead were being caught in the River.

Not up on Bream, but I think the whiting were coming on and the Blackfish as well.

Give Yamba Bait & Tackle a bell they should be able to set you straight on whats biting and whats not.

And if your from Queensland don't forget you need a fishing license

    Good luck with it all

    Thanks Rob,

yeah have been watching the weather for that way. The friends who i have coming just like the idea of fishing whiting beach. Hopefully there is still a few small whiting/flathead around.

generally i fish the beach after a bit of fresh so that is where i will target. Probably hit oyster channel bridge at some stage.

    Thanks for the help.

    it is much appreciated.

    cheers Craig

    Hi Craig,

If you sent a PM to Mattooty, he should be able to give you a bit of info.

He lives there and knows all the go with what's happening there.

Hi Surly, howd you go over that week, i was up there as well and there was some fresh water still. Managed a heap of flatties nothing of size 40-60cm a few small bream, GT, 1 x jack 1kg, and a few stingrays all on lures...

    Hi graham,

Weather was awesome, fishing was ordinary. Seemed to concentrate more towards the mouth, around whiting beach. each day we fished we would catch around 50 fishing but very few legals. Kept a couple of big 35cm whiting but that was about it. The girls enjoyed the fishing, but i spent most of the time tying hooks etc . Still beats working, glad you got a few.

    Cheers Craig
